Communications and Magnet Specialist

The Communications and Magnet Specialist primary responsibilities include all NWSISD communications and to assist in coordination of magnet school programs. Duties include developing and executing internal and external communications and marketing plans, maintain a high quality website and serve as its webmaster, design and/or disseminate press releases, newsletters, brochures and recruitment literature. In addition, the Communications and Magnet Specialist oversees the magnet lottery process, which includes; marketing, applications, data management, transportation liaison, design and create reports, and prepare mass mailings.


The Communications and Magnet Specialist position is a full time 230-day position. Salary range is competitive and dependent in part on education and experience in the areas of responsibility. The Communications and Magnet Specialist must have excellent communication, organizational and management skills. Must be able to design high quality promotional print and media materials and have an advanced knowledge of computers and software with proficiency in Office products, databases, publishing, web design, and digital media. A Bachelor Degree is required; prefer prior experience in education and or/communications and marketing.
