IT Project Manager

We are seeking a collaborative, strong project manager with experience in a technology environment to help United Way maximize the utilization of enterprise applications. This is a 30 hour per week position.
Description of Duties * Project Management: The individual in this position will employ project management best practices to lead Information Services and cross-functional projects. This will include (but not be limited to) the following: * Defining project scope, charter, goals and deliverables in support of business goals and working with leadership and stakeholders for approvals * Developing project plans, schedule and work breakdown structure for projects * Ensuring that all project participants understand their responsibilities on the project team and complete project tasks successfully in a timely and cost-effective manner. * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of project. Conducting all project management tasks to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals * Communicating project status, progress on deliverables, and risks/issues to stakeholders and leadership in a timely manner * Managing external vendors in the completion of outsourced development work. * Creating and managing an annual IT operational/support plan including system updates for key applications. * Prioritizing and managing system updates * Communicating and managing change around system releases, and project go-lives. * Data Integrity Support: The individual in this position will also help maintain the integrity of the data in our systems. * End User Support. The individual in this position will also help train end users on new business processes and/or technology solutions and offer general end user support.
Specifications * Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience in a technology environment. * Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects. * Technical Skills: Experience working with our key line of business applications, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Scribe, Andar, & SharePoint. * Excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate to non-technical users effectively, and keep both technical teams and non-technical teams focused on project or initiative goals. Proven experience working cross-functionally.
