Director of Digital Donor Engagement

Description of Duties This position leads the strategic and tactical development of our direct to donor engagement efforts and our digital communication mediums. This person is directly responsible for revenue generation from individual donors (outside of the workplace and major gifts) including our online giving promotions and our annual postal mail campaigns, the definition and creation of our digital platforms (website, eMail, mobile) and the effective use of all digital communication properties (website, eMail, social media, mobile, etc.) to support and achieve the organization's objectives to create/maintain a thought-leader reputation, build relationships across all constituent groups and generate revenue income from individual donors.

Specifications * Bachelor's degree in marketing (MBA preferred) and 10+ years of experience in direct/digital/interactive marketing, including at least 5+ years of experience in managing other people in a direct reporting capacity. * Experience in the non-profit sector preferred, as well as work within a complex, cross-functional and multi-faceted organization. * Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience in developing and managing customer engagement/promotional campaigns and digital strategies, and the following functional areas of marketing: interactive marketing, promotion design, digital creative design, copywriting, partnership marketing, website development, eMail marketing, direct marketing (telemarketing/postal mail), social media marketing, analytics and measurement. * Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to build consultative relationships throughout the organization. * Experience with strategic and annual planning including ability to create and manage to an annual operating budget. * Positive and strong staff management skills.
